On December 18, 2025, the "Chip-Vehicle Synergy, Win the Future" China Automotive Chip Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance 2025 Plenary Member Conference was held in Minhang. At the conference, over 200 outstanding domestic automotive chips were showcased. Leveraging technological breakthroughs and extensive applications in analog and mixed-signal chip fields, particularly in automotive electronics, the company’s cumulative shipments of LED driver chips and automotive headlight dimming driver chips have each exceeded 100 million units, demonstrating robust mass production capabilities. Meanwhile, the "watchdog" power management chip is expected to reach the milestone of 100 million units shipped in the first quarter of 2026, emerging as a solid and prominent driving force in the localization process of domestic automotive chips.

Despite gradually gaining a foothold in the mid-range product segment, domestic chip companies still face severe challenges in the high-end market. "We can neither afford to compete recklessly nor remain complacent. We can only serve customers with a 45-degree bow attitude, pushing our R&D team to increase IP volume to confront international competition," remarked Hua Liang, Deputy General Manager of Yachuang Electronics. His analogy outlines the common predicament of domestic chip enterprises today: on one hand, the window for domestic substitution has opened wider than ever due to geopolitical and supply chain security concerns; on the other hand, bottlenecks in high-end technology and the long-standing advantages of international giants make this localization journey far from smooth.

It is worth noting that as China’s new energy vehicles rise in the global market—projected to reach nearly 20 million units in sales by 2035, with a penetration rate exceeding 70%—this presents a definite "volume" advantage for the automotive chip industry. How to translate market advantages into industrial share has become a shared challenge for all domestic chip companies.

Shenzhuang Industrial Park Assists Domestic Automotive Chips in "Overcoming Hurdles"

At the conference, Zhang Xian, head of the Automotive Industry Task Force at Shenzhuang Industrial Park, stated that the park is actively building a collaboration platform, leveraging resources from national industry alliances to foster deep cooperation between local component/chip companies and automakers, helping enterprises break through market barriers. By establishing a transmission chain from "component system integration → chip demand feedback" and constructing an industrial loop of "automotive-grade chip design—packaging and testing—core component development," the park aims to create the "Yangtze River Delta Automotive Chip and Intelligent System Innovation Center," driving the region’s transformation from a manufacturing base to an innovation hub.
